About

Conceptualised by Jaipur’s acclaimed jewellery designer, late Munnu Kasliwal, 28 Kothi is a home away from home for the creative community visiting Jaipur. It’s now helmed by Munnu Kasliwal’s son Siddharth (9th generation jeweller, Gem Palace) along with hotelier Abhishek Honawar (Founder, Honar Group).

This boutique hotel was built by French architect Georges Floret to serve as an oasis for global travellers to revitalise, discover, be inspired, and create. The two-storeyed Kothi has 5 plush rooms and communal areas with mesmerising latticed windows that play hide and seek with the Sun.

Jaipur-based Lebanese designer Nur Kaoukji (creative director, Ecru) is behind the soothingly luxurious interiors of 28 Kothi. From its individually styled plush rooms and hand-painted murals, to custom designed pieces of hand-crafted furniture by local artisans, every element contributes to the Kothi’s poetic design, embracing its guests with a feeling of calm and bliss.

What Sets Us Apart

28 Kothi in Jaipur is an idyllic haven

- Elle Décor

"You walk in and there’s a small but tranquil courtyard with benches everywhere. The color palette is very fresh and minimal; creamy walls with pops of bold color. The rooms are beautiful, with marble bathrooms and no TVs. You want to move in immediately."

What Sets Us Apart

Our home away from home

- Suitcase

"28 Kothi is our home away from home. It's a luminous, five-bedroom guest house owned and run by our friends. The Kothi experience is super personalised, down to the fruit you prefer in your breakfast salad or the herbal soap you get to select at the outset of your stay."

What Sets Us Apart

The right balance between contemporary cool and its Indian identity

- RICE / POTATO

"The Jaipur-based Lebanese designer Nur Kaoukji took the lead in the interior design and managed to strike the right balance between contemporary cool and maintaining an Indian identity. Parrots and palm trees are a recurring theme throughout the hotel, providing a quirky nod to the ‘exotic East’, with the wall painting in the library being an absolute stunner."

What Sets Us Apart

Farm - fresh ingredients straight to your platter

- Cocoa & Jasmine

"It retains intimacy in its small but personalised structure of accommodation and facilities, such that one would not hesitate to curl up with a book in a corner of the peaceful library or indulge in the lush green of the garden on a breezy Sunday evening. The atmosphere is particularly special, warm, and welcoming. In Cafe Kothi meals are made to order using farm-fresh ingredients straight to your platter, with the fresh morning brew, best enjoyed on the terrace."
